Arrival by train
You do not actually need a car for your journey to Hinterzarten nor in the town itself. On the contrary, Hinterzarten is a traffic-calm zone, very easily accessible by train and has good bus connections. Hinterzarten is connected to Freiburg by the famous Höllentalbahn railway, which runs every half hour, providing links to the IC and ICE networks of Deutsche Bahn, the national railway carrier. Hinterzarten is located in the operational area of the efficient Regio-Verkehrsverbund Freiburg GmbH (RVF) and the supra-regional Südbaden-Bus GmbH (SBG), which offer favourable connections throughout the entire southern Black Forest area between the Rhine valley and Lake Constance.
We will gladly pick you and your luggage up from the train station in Hinterzarten!

Arrival by car
A5 Karlsruhe – Basel
Exit Freiburg Mitte
Then take the B31 in the direction of Donaueschingen
A81 Stuttgart – Singen
Take the Bad Dürrheim / Donaueschingen exit
Then take the B31 in the direction of Titisee-Neustadt and Freiburg
From Switzerland
Via Waldshut on the B500 past Schluchsee and then in Titisee continue on the B31 towards Freiburg
Parking spaces have been created for you directly at the holiday home and have just been widened. On request, a parking space in the underground garage is available for our guests (for a fee).
The chalet has its own garage parking space on the property.
In Hinterzarten
Enter the village and continue straight ahead until you reach the railway station. Drive under the railway underpass and then turn right into Alpersbacher Straße. Follow this road (past the carpenter’s workshop Ganter) until you see the turn-off for Mattenweg on the left after about 300 metres. Drive into the cul-de-sac and you will see the holiday home on the right after a slight right-hand bend up the hill.
